This privacy policy applies to ohms.marketing, operated by O.MS.H Media Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. It covers how we handle personal information collected through this website and through the services we provide to clients.

what we collect

When you fill out a form on this site (like the contact form or any intake form), we may collect:

  • Your phone number
  • Your business website URL

We do not collect sensitive personal information like payment card details directly; payments are handled entirely by Stripe.

third-party services we use

Running a modern website means relying on a handful of trusted tools. Here's what we use and why:

  • Mailerlite — our email marketing platform. If you opt in to email communications, your name and email are stored in Mailerlite. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Mailerlite privacy policy.
  • Resend — used to send transactional emails (like form submission confirmations). Resend privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) — we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site (pages visited, time on site, traffic sources, etc.). This data is anonymized and aggregated. Google privacy policy.
  • Google Ads — we use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing tags on this site to measure the effectiveness of our own advertising. Google privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — this site runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure for performance and security. Cloudflare may log request data as part of its service. Cloudflare privacy policy.
  • Stripe — all payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe privacy policy.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — we use reCAPTCHA on our forms to prevent spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and interactions to determine if you're a human. This data is processed by Google under their privacy policy.

This site uses cookies (small text files stored in your browser) for the following purposes:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — sets cookies to track sessions and user behaviour across pages. These cookies do not personally identify you.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — sets cookies as part of its spam-prevention checks.
  • Google Ads — sets cookies for conversion tracking and to enable remarketing (showing you our ads on other sites after you've visited ours).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some parts of this site.

data retention

We keep your information for as long as it's relevant:

  • Inquiry and contact form submissions are kept for as long as there's a legitimate business reason (e.g., an ongoing client relationship or potential future work).
  • Email marketing lists are maintained in Mailerlite until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Analytics data in Google Analytics is retained according to the settings we've configured (typically 14 months for user-level data).

When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it.

CASL compliance

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This means:

  • We only send commercial electronic messages (marketing emails) to people who have given us express or implied consent.
  • Every marketing email includes a clear and easy way to unsubscribe.
  • We honour unsubscribe requests promptly, within 10 business days as required by law.
  • When you fill out our contact form, you may be asked to opt in to marketing emails. This is optional and separate from receiving a response to your inquiry.

your rights

You have the right to:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or just email us.
  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal or contractual obligations we have to retain it.

data security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information: using HTTPS, trusted third-party platforms with their own strong security practices, and keeping access to your data limited to who actually needs it. That said, no system is completely foolproof, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we'll delete it.

changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the tools we use evolve. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and may notify you by email if we have your contact info. The current version always lives at ohms.marketing/privacy/.
